What you'll be doing:
Configure, deploy, and maintain physical and virtual servers, including GPU-accelerated hardware, storage, and networking gear.
Ensure all demo systems are stable and optimized for performance.
Maintain an inventory of demo equipment and ensure all systems are patched, backed up, and meet security compliance standards.
Collaborate with demo owners and product teams to install new demos in the EBC. This may include procuring custom hardware or other equipment, and adjusting the in-room lighting to highlight the demo.
Plan for evolving compute needs, including future upgrades and expansion.
Build and implement automation workflows (using scripting, configuration management, etc.) to ensure consistent, repeatable, and rapid setup, deployment, and teardown/reset of complex demo environments with minimal manual intervention.
Coordinate with IT and networking teams to ensure seamless integration of backend infrastructure with front-of-house presentations.
Document configurations and create reference guides for repeatable system builds that can be shared by our worldwide EBCs.
What we need to see:
8+ years of experience
Validated experience with enterprise server hardware (Dell PowerEdge, HPE ProLiant, Supermicro) and enterprise networking, including GPU-based systems. Expertise in virtualization, specifically the VMware vSphere suite (vCenter, ESXi).
Advanced system administration and configuration expertise across both Linux (RHEL/Ubuntu) and Windows environments. Demonstrated ability in containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes).
Strong, hands-on shell scripting skills (Bash), with Python programming ability strongly preferred. Experience using modern configuration management tools (such as Ansible, Puppet, Chef, SaltStack) to automate infrastructure.
Demonstrated experience with physical installation, cabling (power, copper/fiber network), and removal of servers, network switches, storage arrays, GPUs, and other associated hardware within standard equipment racks.
Understanding of NVIDIA SXM module specifics: power delivery, clocking, thermal output, and peak power draw.
Ability to network displays, speakers, microphones, and other peripherals to work seamlessly across machines in the demo environment.
Knowledge of video basics: common display resolutions, chroma subsampling (4:4:4), and HDMI bandwidth limits.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including authoring technical documentation.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field or 5 years of equivalent practical experience.
Flexibility to work occasional evenings or adjusted hours based on executive briefing schedules. Potential for on-call support during critical events.
Ways to stand out from the crowd:
Familiarity with video and audio production tools, technical specifications, and workflows.
Proficiency applying specialized lighting techniques (spotlighting, ambient, underglow, effect lighting) to showcase hardware and enhance demo environments.
Prior experience with NVIDIA’s products, technology, culture, vision, and positioning.
