Responsible for complete sourcing activities and carrying out contract negotiations. This is done by focusing on global commodity strategy, quality, specification, price, and reliability of supply
Evaluate supplier business proposals and present recommendations that will result in cost savings, avoidance, or containment
Evaluate and provide guidance on the final selection of suppliers; Perform value analysis for final selection of supplier tracking and evaluating Total Cost of Ownership
Based on key performance indicators, you demand continuous improvement from your suppliers
You strive to involve suppliers as early as possible in our development processes
You also continuously undertake market research and benchmarking to benefit from new trends in the global supplier market
Work collaboratively with the cross-functional departments such as engineering, supplier industrialization, supplier quality engineering, finance etc.
You manage commodity accounts at the operational level supporting the continuity of Tesla manufacturing
You lead a team of buyers, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment. You act as a key point of contact for leadership, communicating team progress and initiatives.
What You’ll Bring
University qualification in Industrial Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Business Management, and Supply Chain Management.
Specific certifications in Supply Chain/Purchasing are preferred.
5 Years+ of experience in Procurement in global industrial environments. The automotive background will be considered a plus.
Experience in one or more of the relevant product groups (Interiors IP/Cockpit, Console, Door trims, S&R) and have in-depth knowledge of the products, manufacturing processes, and different technologies and cost structure.
Flexible to work in out-of-process standards.
You are fluent in English. The German language is a plus.
