What You’ll Do
  • Responsible for complete sourcing activities and carrying out contract negotiations. This is done by focusing on global commodity strategy, quality, specification, price, and reliability of supply
  • Evaluate supplier business proposals and present recommendations that will result in cost savings, avoidance, or containment
  • Evaluate and provide guidance on the final selection of suppliers; Perform value analysis for final selection of supplier tracking and evaluating Total Cost of Ownership
  • Based on key performance indicators, you demand continuous improvement from your suppliers
  • You strive to involve suppliers as early as possible in our development processes
  • You also continuously undertake market research and benchmarking to benefit from new trends in the global supplier market
  • Work collaboratively with the cross-functional departments such as engineering, supplier industrialization, supplier quality engineering, finance etc.
  • You manage commodity accounts at the operational level supporting the continuity of Tesla manufacturing
  • You lead a team of buyers, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment. You act as a key point of contact for leadership, communicating team progress and initiatives.
What You’ll Bring
  • University qualification in Industrial Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Business Management, and Supply Chain Management.
  • Specific certifications in Supply Chain/Purchasing are preferred.
  • 5 Years+ of experience in Procurement in global industrial environments. The automotive background will be considered a plus.
  • Experience in one or more of the relevant product groups (Interiors IP/Cockpit, Console, Door trims, S&R) and have in-depth knowledge of the products, manufacturing processes, and different technologies and cost structure.
  • Flexible to work in out-of-process standards.
  • You are fluent in English. The German language is a plus.
  • Goal-driven personality with good communication, teamwork, and leadership skills
