Dedicated to advancing the treatment of liver cancer, TheraSphere is a catheter-based, loco-regional radiation therapy that uses glass microspheres containing radioactive Y90 that are delivered directly to liver tumors via catheter. TheraSphere is the only FDA approved Y-90 treatment for primary liver cancer, expanding access to this life-prolonging therapy for a greater number of patients.

This role is focused on the development and execution of the direct-to-patient strategy for TheraSphere, bringing both awareness as well as education regarding treatment options for patients with primary liver cancer. This Senior Product Manager must be comfortable working in a fast-paced and entrepreneurial environment, demonstrating agility and resilience as we engage patients at scale.


Key responsibilities:

  • Develop the direct-to-patient program and multi-channel campaign to increase patient awareness of disease state and treatment options
  • Drive and execute required research and assessments to inform and evolve the program.  Research could be qualitative or quantitative, as well as executed by internal or external resources.
  • Identify unique local market opportunities to promote awareness and educate patients, including patient advocacy or hospital marketing partnerships.
  • Conduct patient education seminars/webinars, partner with advocacy and community outreach programs
  • Identify patient champions and gather patient testimonials.
  • Develop and implement targeted patient activation initiatives as well as the ability to track and measure impact of the programs.
  • Enable patient access and address local market issues that limit patient access.
  • Recommend best practices that help improve efficiency, patient flow and patient care.
  • Partner closely with the TheraSphere Direct-to-referrer and Therapy Awareness Managers
  • Use classic marketing capabilities: market segmentation, product positioning, message development, channel identification, tool and communication creation and execution to further business objectives.
  • Exhibit professional maturity and help to foster an open, challenging, stimulating and positive environment that enables colleagues to be their best.

Required qualifications:

  • 6-9 years of medical device or product launch experience required
  • BA/BS required
  • Demonstrated success working as an integral cross functional team member, and ability to develop deep clinical expertise in medical device product line
  • Demonstrated success supporting and/or managing complex projects
  • Ability to collaborate and work with others in a dynamic, matrix environment
  • Position requires 15-25% travel

Preferred qualifications:

  • Direct-to-patient experience strongly preferred
  • Master’s/MBA preferred
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
