Job Description

Bring energy, knowledge, innovation to carry out the following:

  • Work with stakeholders (within and above Site) to define materials strategy for determination of experimental, clinical, and commercial builds to offer efficiency and flexibility.
  • Manage the Supply Chain team resources associated with the new materials introduction (NMI) process.
  • Key activities across the team will include SAP master data build, material purchasing, material qualification, and the release management process with supporting departments. Process element for this activity is the MRB (Materials Review Board) for the Site
  • Working with upstream / sending site partners to encourage the use of existing materials playbook in development of new products – using a platform/ modular standard.

Key Activities:

  • Material availability – Deliver new materials into the Site to enable successful release for use in Production at the agreed timeline.
  • Compliance – Act as primary Lead for materials introduction and qualification process. Work with partners to manage these activities and refine the processes in alignment with regulatory & Company procedures and support regulatory and Company compliance audits.
  • Relationship management – work with stakeholders of Global Procurement, technical Engineering partners with the BOM build, vendors, and above Site NPI Leads.
  • Strategic Initiatives & Continuous improvement – Lead initiatives in line with strategic priorities. Work with all parties to ensure that an environment exists to promote improvement in activities for both Compliance & Operations
  • Financial performance – work with guidance provided by Finance & Product Leads for materials safety factor ordering.
  • Transference of technical knowledge – leverage off your technical knowledge to build both processes and competence within Team to respond quickly to new product introductions, and flexible mindset to adapt to new process changes and business strategies.

Preferred experience:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering, pharmacy or science related field.
  • Five plus years previous experience within a Supply Chain or technical role associated with new product introduction in a pharmaceutical environment.
  • Critical skillset is ability to work with multiple stakeholders to develop process-based solutions and manage the associated communications effectively.
  • SAP systems knowledge is critical – master data, production execution modules.
  • Strong knowledge of single use materials and applicable regulatory standards for the qualification of single use materials.
  • Previous experience with engagement with vendors on material related issues including supply chain notifications and investigations.
  • Excellent command of English, both written and verbal – ability to work within all levels of the organisation from shopfloor staff to Site Leadership Team.
  • Computer literate with advanced skills in MS Office, especially Excel.
  • Strong analytical and priority management skills – familiar with the use of Project Management tools like Power Project, MS Project, etc.
  • Ability and willingness for continuous learning.
  • Sense of initiative and overall coordination of projects and activities.
