Job Description

Applications are invited for the position of Materials Planning and Scheduling Lead (Associate Director) at our site in Brinny, Co. Cork.

In this role, the incumbent will manage incoming and outgoing movement and storage of raw materials, finished products and parts that include functions such as warehousing, shop, and delivery services to ensure material availability and delivery when needed to meet production schedules.

You will compile data on order volume, production schedules and forecasts, and applies statistical methods to estimate future materials requirements.

The role will provide direction to the all of the aforementioned teams to achieve the four priorities of: Compliance, Supply, Strategy, and Profit Plan.

  • Ensure compliance with cGMPs and other business compliance regulations.
  • Ensure on time supply to Global customers as well as internal/external customers.
  • Support New Product launches and alignment to Franchise initiatives.
  • Identify target areas for business process improvements and manage projects to ensue achievements of results.
  • As a part of SCM leadership, participate in the development of SCM Strategy and long term Business Development Plan.
  • Support linkage of operations teams, strategic goals to current market/customer environment and corporate strategy.
  • Financial Stewardship: Annual operating plan, inventory management, budget planning and control.
  • Work with planning community to share internal and external Supply Chain Management best practices and industry trends. Identify potential gaps and recommend solutions in areas of Supply performance, Sales & Operations Planning, Capacity Planning, and Forecasting.
  • Lead, promote, and supervise the implementation of compliance issues.
  • Lead cross functional team with ongoing coaching, support, and development & performance management of individuals.
  • Active member of Value Chain Management teams.
  • Participate and comply with the Quality Management Systems (QMS) requirements, including ownership, as relevant to job.

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Relevant third-level education
  • 5+ years of managerial experience, with strong knowledge of the regulatory environment in pharmaceutical operations.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing teams in planning, materials management and master data management.
