Qualifications

Extensive technology-related sales or account management experience

  • OR Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field AND demonstrated technology-related sales or account management experience
  • OR equivalent experience.

Experience of direct people management preferred

Responsibilities

People Leader

  • Build and grow a strong team, attract great talent and lead with diversity and inclusion as the foundation for a high performance culture
  • Support your team on their career development journeys and open doors to future role opportunities. Build a strong talent pipeline

Sales Execution

  • Lead your team to identify new data, AI and application development opportunities with the support of marketing signals, existing customer usage and targeted business development activities
  • Maximise key market opportunities to accelerate consumption (e.g. end of life campaigns, data centre exit, data driven targeting based on usage, trial conversion, competitive moments)
  • Support Specialists in unlocking C-level stakeholders and navigating complex issues/opportunities.
  • Encourage strong program usage to show Microsoft’s commitment to our customers (skilling, presales funding, solution assessments, FastTrack advisory)
  • Support the team in keeping pipeline hygiene high through strong qualification and deal management/control.

Scaling and Collaboration

  • Build strong relationships with key channel partners to align on customer acquisition targets, business development activities and next logical workload for existing customers.
  • Drive strong partner collaboration on sales opportunities to accelerate velocity and consumption growth.
  • Guide the team to build a network of partners to cross-sell and up-sell.

Technical Expertise

  • Data, applications and AI is a fact-moving space in Microsoft’s portfolio so it’s important to keep the team updated on solution knowledge and competitive positioning, leveraging our Sales Enablement & Operations team and Solution Area leadership to help.
  • Build a strong relationship with the technical presales lead & solution assessment team to support customer’s during solutioning and building business value cases.
