Description
As a QA engineer on our team, you’ll be responsible for testing new development on customer-facing applications, internal tools, and supporting frameworks on all OS platforms. You will collaborate and work cross-functionally with other engineering groups to drive projects toward completion. In concert with our development team, you’ll ensure high quality at all times during the release cycle, especially in early betas when feedback is most important. To deliver on those goals, you will:- Create detailed and comprehensive test plans and test cases based on the requirements of our software and user needs- Execute all types of tests (e.g., functional, integration, manual, etc.) on a scheduled basis- Create, schedule, and track results of automated tests- Track and manage bugs through the software development lifecycle- Track and report on quality assurance metrics and testing activities
Minimum Qualifications
  • Knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes
  • Able to write clear and comprehensive test plans and test cases
  • B.S. degree, or equivalent experience
Preferred Qualifications
  • Close attention to detail, and passion for quality the customer experience
  • Can explain usage patterns concepts succinctly and clearly.
  • Comfortable working with diverse engineering teams throughout the full software development lifecycle.
  • Ability to write clear and comprehensive test plans and test cases
  • Familiarity with automation frameworks; continuous integration a plus
Pay & Benefits
  • At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $88,109 and $170,100 annualized, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.Note: Apple benefit, compensation and employee stock programs are subject to eligibility requirements and other terms of the applicable plan or program.
