Required/Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Supply Chain Analytics, or related fieldAND 7+ years supply planning, operations, supply chain, indirect supply planning, technology-related supply chain, sourcing and manufacturing, or related experience
    • OR Master's Degree in Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Business, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Supply Chain Analytics, or related fieldAND 3+ years supply planning, operations, supply chain, indirect supply planning, technology-related supply chain, sourcing and manufacturing, or related experience
    • OR equivalent experience.
  • 4+ years of spares parts planning, inventory management, or supply chain management experience in a cloud-based technology business or similar industry.
  • 4+ years of experience in first- and third-party ERP/MPS/MRP systems and inventory control methods performing advanced planning

Background Check Requirements:

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:

  • Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

  • Skills in Power BI and ability to modify and run SQL queries, proficient with Microsoft applications including Excel, Word, PowerPoint. Demonstrated expertise in program management and process improvement methodologies; Lean/Six-Sigma training, 5S, Kaizen, Agile, Certified in Production and Inventory Management(CPIM)/Certified Supply Chain Professional(CSCP) certification preferred.
  • Comprehensive working knowledge of key Information Technology(IT) and service industry concepts and understanding of cloud infrastructure and datacenter issues such as physical space, rack units, break-fix requirements, and incident management.
  • Detail oriented, ability to communicate complex problems and solutions, drive to collaborate, a bias for action to close out problems, very comfortable working with numbers.
  • Experience managing Product Life Cycle. Process/system background and ability to rapidly understand and drive improvements in new processes/systems.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced dynamic environment with rapidly changing requirements, robust critical thinking skills and ability to drive resolution in ambiguous situations

Responsibilities
  • Spares Planning: develop and maintain spares forecast/demand plans, define planning methods (min/max, safety stocks, forecast-based, etc.), establish and execute on target stocking level strategies, regularly update forecast based on actual consumption, establish feedback loops for improvements in forecast accuracy over period of time, setup MRP, and define and refine master data to support the spares ecosystem integration.

  • Inventory Management: Maintain and report inventory levels across all stocking locations, manage work order activities for spares production, implement processes for returns from field, and coordinate warranty claims with suppliers.

  • Supply Chain Management: Escalate and resolve field supply chain issues, prioritize service based on material lead times and availability, track and analyze material consumption trends, review engineering change orders affecting spare parts, ensure HW compatibility for spare parts.

  • Define new data-driven models to support the evolving business need and optimize service level. Partner with data center operations to promote transparency of sparing strategy and to identify opportunities related to inventory optimization.

  • Build strong working relationships across multiple disciplines (Sourcing, Finance, Data Center Operations, Suppliers and others), cultivating strategic relationships and influence across the organization.

  • Implement measurement frameworks to enable data-driven decision-making, work independently and be agile in a dynamic and growing environment.

  • Drive continuous improvements by validating use cases and writing test cases from scratch to support various technology and supply chain transformation projects.

  • Provide expertise needed for departments to collect performance metrics, oversee customer support, and define, lead, and mentor others in direct customer engagements.
