It is a senior strategic role, responsible for overseeing reserve, loss forecasting, stress testing and other finance and treasury models as part of the enterprise Model Risk Management function. This individual will also contribute to other initiatives such as capital and liquidity adequacy assessment for the bank licensed legal entities.

- PP’s Credit (CECL/IFRS9) and Transaction Loss Reserving is adequate
- Annual regulatory submissions (ICAAP, ILAAP, Recovery Plan, other ad hoc request) are carried out with models that are thoroughly reviewed and risk identified/mitigated
- Global stress testing framework is developed and updated that accomodates PP’s unique business models
- Internal loss forecasting, stress testing and other relevant finance treasury models are thoughtfully developed to support various business requirement

In your day-to-day role you will;
- Perform quantitative and qualitative model validation on Finance/Treasury models (reserving, capital, liquidity, stress testing, etc) according to Model Risk Management Policy to identify model risks that might have financial and regulatory implication
- Provide oversight on Credit (CECL/IFRS9) and Transaction Loss Reserving, including the assessment of qualitative overlay
- Provide oversight on loss forecasting, internal and regulatory stress testing exercises
- Review and support annual regulatory submissions (ICAAP, ILAAP, Recovery Plan, other ad hoc request)
- Collaborate with Finance, Treasury and other FLOD stakeholders to remediate issues identified and provide subject-matter expert opinion on improvements
- Manage and develop a small team of highly competent junior team members, fostering technical growth in the model validation as well as their leadership capabilities

- Education:
- A master’s or advanced degree in a quantitative field such as statistics, mathematics, finance, or economics.
- Experience:
- More than 10 years of experience in model risk management, validation, and/or oversight with significant exposure in financialdisclosure/regulatorysubmission
- Good level understanding of advanced modelling approach in financial balance sheet, loss & reserving; Expertise in CECL/IFRS9 a plus
- Fundamental understanding of financial and banking risk, including but not limited to solvency, liquidity, market risk
- Exposure in entity level stress testing on loss, revenue, capital, and liquidity
- Proven track record in regulatory compliance alignment across risk and model management activities (e.g., OCC 2011-12, SR 11-7, GDPR).
- Technical Competencies:
- Advanced proficiency in modelling techniques (e.g., linear and logistical regression, ARIMA, XGBoost, random forests, CNNs/RNNs, GANs)
- Robust coding skills for big data and AI systems, including Python, SQL, TensorFlow, Hadoop, and Spark.
- Familiarity with anomaly detection, clustering methods, risk scoring, and natural language models for compliance analytics.
- Core Skills:
- Exceptional communication, writing, and presentation skills to convey technical concepts to stakeholders at all seniority levels (executives, regulators, auditors, etc.).
- Strong problem-solving and leadership abilities, with experience leading cross-functional teams on complex AI governance projects.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment.
