What you'll be doing:
- Business Partnership & Employee Relations
- Provide consultation on HR-related topics and procedures for leaders and employees across the region including workforce planning, succession planning, performance management, organizational design changes, R&P processes, talent mobility, and termination discussions.
- Partner with local leaders in China, Singapore, Japan, and Australia on strategically building out their rapidly growing teams.
- Partner closely with the global Recruitment team to understand any issues the team is facing in attracting talent and help to identify strategic opportunities to address local talent shortages.
- People Operations
- Ensure legal compliance and provide guidance in local employment laws, processes, and policies.
- Assist the HR operations team with policy administration, benefits administration, HR systems/data management, employment verifications and general HR inquiries for the region.
- Own the onboarding and offboarding process for employees across the region.
- Partner with HR Operations to review and develop our total rewards program for the region.
- Employee Experience
- Own all employees experience projects and events - cultivating an inclusive, cross-region community and culture through producing engaging and fun online or face-to-face team activities, celebrating milestones, regional swag and gifts, and training.
- Manage operational projects related to our existing or future office spaces - working with vendors, contractors, architects, etc.
- Global HR Initiatives
- Partner with the Global HR Leadership team to create and execute HR strategies and strategic initiatives for the team.
What you'll need:
- 3+ years working as an People Generalist, ideally within a fast-growing technology organization with experience across employee relations, employee experience, and people operations
- Support growth in multi-geographical locations across APAC in a matrix-managed environment with an understanding of region specific employment laws and best practices. Ideally across Singapore, China, Japan, and Australia
- Proven experience implementing a variety of HR programs and initiatives
- Proven experience acting as the main point of contact for Senior Leaders on local HR issues
- Champion of diversity, equity, and inclusion throughout the employee lifecycle
- Action-oriented problem solver who is resourceful and focused on continuous development and improvement
- Experience with Excel and the ability to use data to identify meaningful insight
- Mandarin proficiency is highly beneficial
