Description
- Develop, implement and maintain written environmental, health & safety programs, tools, and materials for the corporate sites in South Korea and in partnership with all stakeholders- Provide physical safety support in areas that include: robotics, risk assessments, new & modified equipment review, electrical safety, control of hazardous energy (LOTO) and hot work- Partner with Facilities, PBP/ER and Legal to implement EHS policies, procedures and standards- Support Corporate EHS initiatives, including EHS metrics reporting and audits- Conduct safety evaluations and incident investigations in a variety of workplace settings including but not limited to office spaces, research laboratories, content capture studios and kitchens- Ensure compliance with statutory requirements and work with management teams and business units to identify and handle risks- Lead regulatory agency inspections, inquiries, contacts, and reporting in accordance with corporate and regulatory requirements. Ensure regular EHS assessments, inspections and safety check ins are completed and communicated to the appropriate teams- Manage the process for reporting, investigating and communicating accidents, hazards and concerns- Support sites with emergency response preparation, including training and drills- Develop and implement training for all personnel to assure understanding of environmental health and safety programs- Provide emergency on-call support as needed- Communicate effectively to all levels, from floor to corporate executives, the progress and trends towards achieving excellence in EHS compliance
Minimum Qualifications
  • A Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience in Environmental Science / Engineering / Management or EHS related field
  • 10+ years of EHS experience - preferably in multi-national companies
  • A certified Safety Manager (in South Korea)
  • Business Level Proficiency in Korean and English
  • Proficient in EHS-related national and local legislation
  • In-depth knowledge of a couple of the following areas: Industrial hygiene / Emergency response / Electrical safety / Machine safety / Chemical safety / Manufacturing safety / Laboratory safety
