Key job responsibilities
* Perform system and board level SI/PI simulations.
* Perform stackup analysis and layer assignment for high-speed interfaces and power delivery networks.
* Perform in-depth SI/PI simulations using simulation tools that include Ansys HFSS/SIWave, Keysight ADS, Synopsys HSPICE and Cadence Sigrity.
* Perform correlation studies between lab measurements and simulation data.
* Electromagnetic extraction and modeling of interconnects using full 3D and 2.5D simulations and high-fidelity models.
* Perform DC, AC and transient analysis of power delivery networks.
* Perform time/frequency domain power integrity simulations and validate the results with lab measurements.
* Perform SI/PI co-simulations using package/board/transistor level models.
* Perform pre-layout and post layout statistical and transient modeling and simulations.
* Perform end to end analysis on highspeed interfaces including USB3.0/4.0, MIPI, HDMI, ePD, EDP, DRAM, eMMC/NAND etc.
* Analyze chip/package/PCB PDNs and optimize platform and product PCB designs.
* Work with multi-functional team to solve and enhance SI/PI issues that affect product performance.Bangalore, KA, IND
10+ years of design experience in the relevant SI/PI field.
Hands-on experience in SI/PI simulation and measurement.
Experience working with consumer electronics design and analysis, SI methodology development, and lab correlation/validation of the simulation results
Experience working with PDN model extraction, simulation, and analysis
Possess strong fundamentals in 3D/2D EM simulation tools, such as: ADS, HFSS, SIWave, PowerSI, HSPICE, etc
Solid understanding of electromagnetic & transmission line theory
Good knowledge of high-speed interfaces such as MIPI, DisplayPort, HDMI, USB, DRAM and general high speed SerDes applications
Familiarity with lab equipment, such as: VNA, TDR, real-time scope, spectrum analyzer, etc
Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills including the ability to communicate concepts clearly and persuasively across different audiences and all levels of an organization including executive management.
Strong bias for action including the ability to juggle multiple priorities and effectively deliver in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Able to travel abroad (10%)
Master's degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or equivalent
