Leads Citi’s Corporate Insurance and Risk Management (CIRM) function, a specialized unit that protects Citi’s global assets and continuity of business from fortuitous loss through risk analysis, financing, placement and administration of property/casualty insurance programs, and captive insurance company management.
Develop strategy and execute risk financing activities including placement and administration of property/casualty insurance programs and management of captive insurance company.
Develop strategy and execute insurance claims management, appointment and oversight of third-party administrators, actuarial reviews, loss engineering and risk control activities.
Insurance support to business units and senior/business risk managers for various business specific insurance needs including political risks and specific credit insurance placements.
Risk management advisory services to business units, approval/monitoring of local insurance purchasing, insurers, and insurance brokers.
Accurate and timely financial and regulatory reporting and compliance deliverables for CIRM and captive insurance legal entity.
Accountable for capital and investment management related to self-insured program.
Appropriately assess risk when making business decisions, taking into consideration the firm's reputation, and safeguarding the company, its clients, and assets.
Drive compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations, adhere to company Policy.
Apply sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct, and business practices.
Escalate, manage and report control issues with transparency.
Supervise the activity of others effectively and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards.
Handle full management responsibility of CIRM and captive business activities, including management of people, budget and planning.
Ensure appropriate staffing and organizational structures are in place for their area.
Negotiate and make independent decisions on property/casualty insurance related issues/activities that have critical impact or influence on company revenues, capital, or business operations.
Qualifications:
15+ years relevant experience at a senior decision-making level;
Managerial experience
Experience in insurance industry
Education
Bachelor’s/University degree
Master’s degree preferred,
ARM/CPCU preferred
