What you will do:
- Work with Database provisioning teams to create and maintain all the Oracle, Mongo, and SQL Server databases required for development, testing and production.
- Gather Database-related requirements and implement them.
- Responsible for managing the database environment by ensuring that storage, archiving backup and recovery procedures are functional.
- Monitor the database environment, identify performance, trends and develop meaningful reporting, metrics and trending documentation to develop action plans.
- Perform post-deployment testing of solutions in individual environments.
- Engage with strategic vendors, external to the organization, to investigate problems and understand product functionality, influence enhancements and roadmap as required to meet organizational goals.
- Collaborate with Support teams to assist in integration-related activities.
- Troubleshooting incidents and problems in a timely resolution as defined in SLAs.
- Capacity, Performance and Stability reporting and Management.
- Lead initiatives to develop/enhance tools for system monitoring and maintenance improvements.
- Support to resolve critical issues and implement production changes during weekends and outside working hours expected.
Must-have Skills:
At least 2-3 years’ relevant industry experience in:
- Bachelor'sDegree (Engineering,Mathematics, or IT related field) or equivalent work experience.
- Oracle Database Administration on Oracle 12c/19c.
- Either MongoDB or MS-SQL Administration experience is an advantage
- SQL Queries and Reporting for Oracle, Mongo and/or MS-SQLwould be nice
- Performance analysis and fine-tuning for Oracle databases and/or MongoDB.
- Experience with critical production database support, upgrades, and project lifecycle/ SDLC processes.
Desired Skills:
- Conversant in Linux-based environments (preferably RHEL) that includes being conversant in terminal commands and developing shell scripts.
- Experience in bi-directional Golden Gate setup, maintenance and/or troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with IT Service Management processes and tools such as a Service Now.
Exposure to one or more of the following:
- MongoDB
- Splunk processing language
- Data Warehouse, ETL and Business Intelligence (BI)
- Kafka/Event hub
- BI products: PowerBI, Qlikview, Tableau, Cognos, Arcadia
- Monitoring systems: AppDynamics and Sensu monitoring products
