In this role, you’ll work in one of our IBM Consulting Client Innovation Centres, where we deliver deep technical and industry expertise to a wide range of public and private sector clients around the world.​ Our delivery centers offer our clients locally based skills and technical expertise to drive innovation and adoption of new technology.


You will work developing solutions that excel at user experience, style, performance, reliability and scalability to reduce costs and improve profit and shareholder value.

Your primary responsibilities include:

• Creates and maintains Oracle databases and Oracle Enterprise Applications like, but not limited to, EBusiness, Peoplesoft, JDEdwards, Hyperion, OBIEE, Weblogic and Retek.
• Performs the capacity planning required to create and maintain the applications and databases.
• Is aware and has experience on various tools needed to manage and administrate Oracle applications and databases.
• Performs ongoing tuning of the enterprise application environments, Plans and implements backup and recovery, controls migrations of applications, database changes, configuration data changes and menu changes.
• Implements and enforces security for all of the Oracle Applications.
• Enforces standards to ensure that all application design and code is produced with proper integrity, security and performance. Identifies and Analyzes necessary Oracle patches to keep applications up to date.
• Troubleshoots problems regarding the databases, applications and administration tools, often interacting with Oracle for high impact / severity issues.
• Understands technology relationships and best practices required for highly available infrastructure, load balancing, application clusters, access management and application deploy processes.
