Our Life Sciences clients are seeking and hiring a new type of Transformation Design expert – one who provides strategic guidance, drives Product and Solution vision, but is also deeply embedded in the delivery and success of their value-driven programs. Traditional suppliers, such as strategy houses, systems integrators, and engineering project management consultants cannot provide the complete service our clients now demand.

Skills and attributes for success

  • Strong experience with operational model strategy and build out in the Life Sciences
  • Prior experience leading teams and developing client relationships in the Life Sciences space with a specific focus on commercial and market access
  • Ability to effectively manage and motivate client engagement teams with diverse skills and backgrounds
  • Experience with market access, commercial analytics, and overall commercial strategy is a must have
  • In line with our commitment to quality, you'll consistently drive projects to completion and determine that work is of a high quality. Your role in leading teams or parts of teams on engagements will depend on the size of engagement and will be under responsibility of higher levels. They will look to you to anticipate and identify risks and escalate issues as appropriate
  • Ability to cultivate and manage business development opportunities. Understand EY and its service lines and actively assess/present ways to serve clients. Develop and maintain long-term client relationships and networks. Develop relationships with team members across all EY practices to serve client needs

To qualify for the role you must have

  • A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Biology, Pharmacology
  • 6+ years biotechnology or pharmaceutical industry experience and experience providing advisory services in these industries, focused in at least one of the following areas:
    • Commercial analytics
    • Brand strategy
    • Pricing and market access
    • Commercial operations model transformation
    • Digital campaign management strategy
  • Familiarity with pharmaceutical datasets (e.g. pricing databases, prescription and claims databases, etc.)
  • Experience with commercial operations and analytics
  • Proven success in leading and developing a team of staff/senior consulting professionals
  • Experience supporting and participating in pursuit efforts. Experience with the end-to-end RFP process (RFP, Response, Proposal, Client Presentation, SOW and Execution) and understanding of client procurement processes
  • History of driving revenue within existing clients and in developing new prospects at the "C" level of Fortune 500 companies
  • Multiple engagements in which individual revenue managed was above 10 million dollars
  • Demonstrated excellent oral and written communication skills
  • A valid driver's license in the US and a valid passport required; willingness to travel to meet client needs and ability to travel internationally; travel is estimated at 80%

Ideally you'll also have

  • Prior EY experience
  • Life science or biomedical background and experience in data analytics and commercial operations
  • PhD in life sciences or bio-focused engineering discipline

The salary range for this job in most geographic locations in the US is $133,900 to $305,900. The salary range for New York City Metro Area, Washington State and California (excluding Sacramento) is $160,700 to $347,600. Individual salaries within those ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills and geography. In addition, our Total Rewards package includes medical and dental coverage, pension and 401(k) plans, and a wide range of paid time off options. Under our flexible vacation policy, you’ll decide how much vacation time you need based on your own personal circumstances. You’ll also be granted time off for designated EY Paid Holidays, Winter/Summer breaks, Personal/Family Care, and other leaves of absence when needed to support your physical, financial, and emotional well-being.
