We are looking for an experienced software engineer with a deep knowledge of advanced C++. You will play a crucial role in developing the machine learning compiler and runtime firmware for Qualcomm’s best-in-class accelerator, as well as contributing to the development of virtual prototypes used to test this firmware before actual products are available. You’ll work closely with a geographically distributed team to develop new features at the cutting edge of on-device machine learning execution.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with software architects and machine learning researchers to design and implement new features for the machine learning compiler and runtime firmware.

  • Optimize code for performance, memory usage, and power efficiency.

  • Debug and troubleshoot issues related to the runtime firmware.

  • Contribute to the development of a modern C++ project which uses extensive template metaprogramming techniques.

  • Contribute to the development of virtual prototypes to enable the testing of new Neural Signal Processing hardware features.

  • Work independently and in a self-directed manner, while also collaborating effectively with remote team members.

Qualifications:

  • At least 5 years of experience in software development

  • Strong knowledge of advanced C++ (C++17 or later), including concurrent programming and template metaprogramming.

  • Experience developing for embedded systems.

  • Experience with virtual prototype frameworks such as QEMU or SystemC

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

  • Strong communication skills for collaborating with remote team members.

  • Knowledge of machine learning frameworks and compiler development is a plus.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field and 6+ years of Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related work experience.

Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field and 5+ years of Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related work experience.

PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field and 4+ years of Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related work experience.

• 2+ years of experience with high-performance microprocessor design.

Pay range:

$179,000.00 - $269,000.00
