Essential Functions of the Job (Key responsibilities)
- Direct the day-to-day activities and long-term development of the Structural Biology Group.
- Implement and develop processes to support of Chemistry and Biochemistry on hit identification and Hit to Lead SAR activities.
- Support Antibody engineering and characterization.
- Work with multiple CROs and internal resources across the organization to accomplish program objectives.
- Be a member of the Protein Science and Technology leadership team.
- Contribute to new target proposal and support their evaluation and validation.
- Recruit and manage the personnel of the Structural Biology Group.
- Identify and introduce appropriated strategies to keep the group current with state-of-the-art practices.
Qualifications (Minimal acceptable level of education, work experience, and competency)
- Ph.D. in Biochemistry, structural biology with demonstrated managerial and scientific leadership on X-ray crystallography and cryo-EM.
- Demonstrated experience on driving structure-based drug design to support MOA and target validation studies.
- Experience on integrating Cryo-EM workflows to support small molecule and biologics discovery/optimization.
- Able to work in a highly collaborative multicultural team environment.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills, self-driven, creative, and entrepreneurial.
