How you’ll spend your day

You will be joining a team of skilled protein scientists, using state-of-the art tools for structural analysis and analytical assessments to rigorously characterise antibody optimisation candidates.


On a day-to-day basis, you may perform any of the following:

  • Structural analysis of macromolecules
  • Molecular modelling of antibodies and antibody-antigen complexes
  • Multi-parametric assessments for design and optimisations of antibody sequences
  • Management of CRO activities for biophysical, structural characterisations and structure determination of antigen-antibody complexes
  • Implement antigen and antibody purifications, analytical characterisations (including thermostability assessment and DLS)
  • Collaborative engagement with cross-functional teams to communicate project activities and timelines.
  • Keep up with the emerging trends in the discipline, provide regular updates to key stakeholders through presentations, author reports, and maintain experiment records in a timely manner through the use of electronic lab notebooks.
  • Train junior staff members as required.
  • Provide general research/laboratory support, including ordering and maintaining consumables, interacting with suppliers
Your experience and qualifications
  • PhD or equivalent experience in biochemistry, chemistry, molecular biology, biotechnology, or related discipline
  • Experience in use of software for protein structure evaluation e.g. PyMOL.
  • Experience in molecular modelling of proteins, protein complexes and molecular dynamics simulations would be highly regarded.
  • In depth knowledge of protein purification and characterisation techniques
  • Excellent understanding and practical experience on instruments such as FPLC, HPLC
  • An active interest in therapeutic drug discovery and development
  • Be proactive in taking on new assignments.
  • Be well organised and able to coordinate multiple activities simultaneously.
