Job Description:
This is an analyst role in support of Citi's Rates trading desks that execute Cash transactions. The team is responsible for a large percentage of the operational activity required to support the Government/T(securities lending) trading desks at Citi. Typical responsibilities will include assisting with treasury auctions, Fed securities lending and reverse repo operations, reconciling front to back and settlements breaks, new security setups and various operational requirements.

Responsibilities:
- Provide analytic and administrative support to Front Office Sales and Trading on securities transactions
- Support trade capture management, Front to Back reconciliation, trade confirmations and settlement forecasts, and maintain position records
- Investigate issues with the collaboration of Front Office and Operations stakeholders
- Make process improvement recommendations based on data, and support the resolution of complex problems or transactions
- Design and analyze complex reports, and participate in, and support the implementation of projects as assigned
- Assist with training of new hires/other team members on operational processes
- Identify policy gaps and assist with formulating policies to support work process efficiency, and provide informal guidance/training
- Escalate, resolve, and support all requests, issues, and errors, and disseminate or explain information to external clients
- Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
Qualifications:
- 2-5 years of experience in a related role
- Demonstrated success solving problems proactively
- Proven ability to quickly understand and critically assess complex processes
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
- Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication
- Demonstrated ability to remain unbiased in a diverse working environment
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience
