  • Bachelor's Degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Human Factors Engineering, Computer Science, Technical Communications, Information Science, Information Architecture, User Experience Design, Behavioral Science, Social Sciences, or related field AND 2+ years User Experience Research experience
    • OR Master's Degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Human Factors Engineering, Computer Science, Technical Communications, Information Science, Information Architecture, User Experience Design, Behavioral Science, Social Sciences, or related field AND 1+ year(s) User Experience Research experience
    • OR equivalent experience.

  • Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirementsarerequiredfor this role. These requirementsinclude, butare not limited to the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will berequiredto pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 5years of experience conducting product design research
  • Experienceusingavariety of design research methodologies including but not limitedto:usability studies, field studies, in-depth interviews, heuristic evaluations, concept validation, user journey maps, benchmarks, scorecards, competitive reviews, surveys and experience with UI design best practices and agile software development.
  • Ability to quickly and effectively analyze research data and present rich findings simply and clearly to influence product design and direction
  • Demonstrated experience delivering projects and customer insights that resulted in positive product impact
  • Passion for learningnew technologiesand understanding the needs of users across a wide range of technical abilities.
  • Excellent project management skills
  • Ability to work effectively across functions and with members of other teams
  • Experiencegenerating andleveragingquantitative insights such as telemetry-based usage data and high-volume survey data
  • Thorough understanding of trends in Artificial Intelligence (AI), and experience researching AIadoptionand use
  • Understanding of and experience with software and tools for user research (e.g., Usertersting.com,UserZoom,Dscout,Figma, Qualtrics)
  • Experience with research on business applications and enterprise SaaS (software as a service) solutions
