Site Reliability Engineeryou will:
- Design and manage relational database structures for optimal performance.
- Automate database maintenance tasks using bash and legacy perl scripts.
- Oversee PostgreSQL (or MySQL) systems in production environments.
- Manage database replica failovers.
- Upgrade data structures with minimal application downtime.
Minimum Qualifications:- 5+ years of experience in designing data structures for relational databases.
- Proficiency in bash scripting and perl for database automation.
- 5+ years of experience with PostgreSQL or 7+ years with MySQL.
- Proven experience in leading database replica failovers, with a history of successfully executing failover strategies.
- Demonstrated expertise in upgrading data structures in production environments with minimal downtime, achieving downtime reductions.
Preferred Qualifications:- Familiarity with Percona Toolkit or Navicat for database analysis.
- 3+ years using VividCortex/DPM for database diagnostics.
- Ability to document and explain database design concepts.
- Knowledge of Elasticsearch.
- Linux systems administration experience.
- Experience with DevOps automation frameworks (SaltStack, Puppet, Chef).
- Proficiency with Git and GitHub.
