The database team members focus on maintaining performance stability and work closely with developers to ensure the code operates as efficiently as possible. As a Database
Site Reliability Engineeryou will:

• Design and manage relational database structures for optimal performance.
• Automate database maintenance tasks using bash and legacy perl scripts.
• Oversee PostgreSQL (or MySQL) systems in production environments.
• Manage database replica failovers.
• Upgrade data structures with minimal application downtime.

• 5+ years of experience in designing data structures for relational databases.
• Proficiency in bash scripting and perl for database automation.
• 5+ years of experience with PostgreSQL or 7+ years with MySQL.
• Proven experience in leading database replica failovers, with a history of successfully executing failover strategies.
• Demonstrated expertise in upgrading data structures in production environments with minimal downtime, achieving downtime reductions.

• Familiarity with Percona Toolkit or Navicat for database analysis.
• 3+ years using VividCortex/DPM for database diagnostics.
• Ability to document and explain database design concepts.
• Knowledge of Elasticsearch.
• Linux systems administration experience.
• Experience with DevOps automation frameworks (SaltStack, Puppet, Chef).
• Proficiency with Git and GitHub.
