About the role
The Associate Director for Americas Serviced Delivery, Invoice to Cash, is responsible for leading the team and processes related to U.S. Credit & Collections. Optimizing people, process and technology that is focused on maximizing cash flow, mitigating risk and reducing bad debt exposure while focusing on customer retention. This role requires building partnerships with internal and external key stakeholders and driving continuous process improvement within the function.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Functional expert in Credit and Collections
- Set the strategic direction for the organization and execute programs that align to the strategy
- Management of significant component of Company Cash Flow (~$1B AR) – ensuring robust collection strategies informed by industry best practices
- Build, nurture and motivate a large, multi-location, multi-cultural team with a common goal and expectations for flawless execution
- Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with executive Sales and cross-functional leadership (e.g., Division and Corporate Finance, Contracts/Pricing, Treasury, Customer Care)
- Establish and maintain constructive relationships with external customer executives
- Implements metrics to manage/monitor operational performance across full operation
- Ensure appropriate risk management with regards to the company AR
- Influence upstream processes and behaviors that impact downstream collections, identify areas of process and system improvement that will drive effectiveness and efficiencies
- Maintain a robust controls framework, performance, and adherence to collection policies & procedures
- Drive automation opportunities that can drive efficiency for the team
- Utilize data analytics to drive decision-making processes and optimize credit and collections strategies
- Ensure a positive customer experience while managing collections
Required qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience as a delivery lead for Accounts Receivable, Invoice to Cash teams, Finance, or Global Business Services Shared Service Organizations.
- 5+ years of experience in a formal leadership role, consistently inspiring and developing team members to reach their full potential while achieving development and organizational objectives.
- Strong leadership skills and ability to motivate diverse teams.
- Outstanding ability to diagnose problems related to process, technology, strategy, or people and implement actions/measures.
- Fluent in English.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred qualifications:
- Advanced degree and/or professional certification (e.g., CPA, CMA).
- 5+ years of relevant work experience within health systems or medical device industry.
- Understanding of the relationship of internal controls and business processes
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and management
- Strong written and verbal skills enabling effective communication
- Experience driving Collections with automation tools such as GetPaid, Blackline or HighRadius
