As Senior Silicon Validation Engineer, you will engage with an experienced cross-disciplinary staff to conceive and design innovative product solutions. You’ll be responsible for building, maintaining, and operating lab bench setups and probe-stations to enable high-volume production test of mm-wave SoCs for Project Kuiper. Lab bench setups will span wafer level and package level setups as well as digital and RF focused setups. You’ll also be responsible for writing automation software for some of these setups. You’ll work closely with silicon design teams, ATE engineers, and failure analysis engineers to bring-up, test, characterize and debug complex SoCs. You must be responsive, flexible and able to succeed within an open collaborative peer environment.Export Control Requirement:
Key job responsibilities
- Develop and execute test plans for functional verification and characterization, focused both RF feature validation as well as test mode validation for ATPG, HTOL, etc.
- Specify, build, maintain, and operate lab bench setups for mm-wave SoC and front-end validation and debug at both the wafer level and package level.
- Implement test plans by developing software tests and flows for system validation and verification.
- Work with lab bench mm-wave test systems to correlate bench and ATE results.
- Work throughout the entire project life-cycle, from early pre-silicon planning and test development, through end-of-life characterization and failure debug.
- Enable lab-bench bring-up of silicon ATE test program across multiple SoCs.- Conduct in-system s-parameter, signal integrity, and power integrity measurements and compare with simulation models.
- Construct specialized bench setups to support physical and electrical failure analysis of units returned from ATE, qualification, or application.
- Bachelor's degree in electrical/communications engineering or related field.
- 5 or more years in silicon validation engineering.
- 5 or more years using Python, C/C++, and C# languages.
- Up to 10% international travel required.
- Masters or PhD degree in Electrical / Communications Engineering or related field.
- Excellent oral and written communications skills.
- 7+ years of hands-on experience in mm-wave SoC validation engineering of communications systems, preferably in high-volume consumer devices manufacturing
- Experience building and automating bench characterization setups for mm-wave SoCs including lab equipment such as VNAs, spectrum analyzers, logic analyzers, oscilloscopes, probe-stations, and pattern generators.
- Knowledge of Python, C/C++, and C# languages.
- Experience working across hardware, software, firmware, and reliability teams to drive test execution and debug.
- Experience supporting debug include physical and electrical failure analysis such as decapsulation, SEM, CSAM, EBIRCH, and others.
- Knowledge of de-embedding techniques such as SOLT, TRL, and AFR.
- Experience working with interfaces such as I3C, JTAG and SPI, as well as custom protocols.
- Familiarity with Digital DfT concept such as ATPG and MBIST and Analog DfT and RF-BIST techniques such as loopback.
- Knowledgeable in data interpretation/analysis, Cp/Cpk, and bench/tester correlation.
