As a Derivatives Operations Vice President in Derivatives Operations team, you will manage the Edinburgh based team which handles the following daily activities: trade capture of all Over-The-Counter and Listed Derivative trades across FX, Equity, Fixed-Income, Rates, Credit and Commodities, process of mid-life events linked to Derivatives transactions including unwinds, knock events, expiries, assignments, exercises, interim swap payments and corporate actions, position reconciliations as well as cash and non-cash collateral requirements on Listed Derivatives.
Job responsibilities
- Drives continuous improvement efforts to build long-term scalability, while reducing risk across all touch-points in the trade path
- Ensures the accurate and timely resolution and escalation of queries from Operations, Technology and the Front Office
- Facilitates training for new application users
- Works with the Business, Technology and Operations to determine priorities, schedule releases and detail the requirements for future enhancements/product launches
- Ensures that business activities are carried out in an efficient, controlled and timely manner by understanding, reviewing and implementing processes, systems and procedures in the context of a growing business with increasingly complex product offerings
- Oversees, monitors and executes daily processes and controls to ensure trades are captured on an accurate and timely basis
- Sets objectives and manages team to ensure objectives are achieved via coaching
- Acts as an escalation point for BAU (Business as Usual) activities
- Supports UAT (User Acceptance Testing) for system releases, technology enhancements and new product launches
- Delivers the location strategy agenda to have activities sitting in the appropriate location
- Embeds a culture of high performance, inclusion and excellent client service

- Strong technical knowledge of Derivatives within an Operations environment
