We are looking for a Senior Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) who likes taking a data driven and systems-based approach to solve Service Reliability problems. You willbe responsible forimplementing improvements in’ reliability, efficiency,and compliance areas of Skype for Consumer

and we firmly believe that nothing is impossible.

Required Qualifications:

• in in one or more of the following languages: Python/C#/JavaScript
• Experience with Linux systems internals (e.g., filesystems, system calls) and administration.
• Solid problem solving and debugging skills.
• Good communications skills, both verbal and written.

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:

• Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Preferred Qualifications:

• BS in computer science, or equivalent in related technical experience.
• Experience with configuration management tools, preferablySaltStack/Ansible.
• Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines in an Azure environment.
• Experienceleveragingcloud architecture, applying site reliability principles, and/ordemonstratingsensitivity to operational concerns.
• Solid understanding of relational databases.

• Managing and automating Skype for Consumer Linux infrastructure (applications and databases platforms) in Microsoft Azure cloud.
• Participate in on-call rotations and own, triage, investigate and resolve service issues with an emphasis on broad communications, learning & teaching throughout the process.
• You should be motivated to make an impact, eager to learn and grow, comfortable dealing with ambiguity, and enjoy creative thinking.
• Focus on stakeholders’ needs through a data driven approach.
• Collaborate with partner teams to meet engineering goals in a unified manner.
