In this role, you will help our clients achieve their desired goals and business objectives. In return, you can expect to learn leading practices in technology transformation, delivery and gain exposure to solving a variety of complex business challenges using digital and transformational tools, methods and technologies.  You will gain exposure in all areas of the insurance value chain including, but not limited to: product development, sales/distribution, new business/underwriting, policy administration, and claims.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Manage large, multi-phase projects, and manage client expectations, build the project team, and manage scope, risk, budget, and timeline activities
  • Provide high-level business and technology assessments, planning, recommendations, and project management with a focus on developing and achieving client goals and objectives
  • Identify key client issues, determine client needs utilizing standard assessment techniques and tools, use innovative approaches to evaluate and validate needs, analyze, and develop recommendations for the client in the context of the engagement
  • Present industry and client key findings to leadership
  • Implement and oversee the quality of deliverables and effectively manage the team and day-to-day relationships to ensure exceptional performance
  • Lead business development and presentation of proposal activities
  • Lead team engagement activities with a focus on developing team talent and building culture of collaboration, client servicing and excellence
  • Provide project status reporting, metrics, billing, and client progress reports
  • Commit to developing a strong personal brand by staying informed regarding economic/market developments and their impact on the firm's clients
  • Ensure engagements are clearly documented

To qualify for this role you must have

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Engineering, Business, Economics, or related disciplines
  • Minimum of 7 years of consulting and/or industry experience in life insurance, annuities, retirement or group benefits
  • Strong oral and written communication skills including executive, C-suite presentation skills
  • Experience assessing and improving business processes, systems, and associated technologies
  • Understanding of Insurance and Annuities products and the insurance operations processing lifecycle
  • Experience documenting business processes related to insurance operations
  • Experience with one or more of the following business functions: product development, sales/distribution, new business, underwriting, post issue servicing policy administration, claims
  • Experience supporting and leading business development activities (e.g. pursuits, proposals, presentations)
  • Travel to client site as necessary

Ideally, you'll also have

  • Advanced Master's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Engineering, or related disciplines
  • Program/Project/Workstream management or Agile experience
  • Experience leading implementation projects and presenting to C-suite executives


What we offer
We offer a comprehensive compensation and benefits package where you’ll be rewarded based on your performance and recognized for the value you bring to the business. The base salary range for this job in all geographic locations in the US is $127,100 to $233,000. The salary range for New York City Metro Area, Washington State and California (excluding Sacramento) is $152,500 to $264,800. Individual salaries within those ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills and geography. In addition, our Total Rewards package includes medical and dental coverage, pension and 401(k) plans, and a wide range of paid time off options. Our expectation is for most people in external, client serving roles to work together in person 40-60% of the time over the course of an engagement, project or year. Under our flexible vacation policy, you’ll decide how much vacation time you need based on your own personal circumstances.
