Operations Engineer
Role Definition
• Responsible for working with the upstream internal team members and communicating with the application team members or database administrators for validating and preparing an application or database for onboarding
• Validate and prepare applications or databases to go through the onboarding factory
• Assist and provide expert best practices in adoption, expansion, additional use cases and in configuring and managing the Splunk environment
• Participate in the intermediate and final phases of onboarding – Validate, Onboard, and Operationalize Phases as applicable
• 5-7 years of total technology experience (for Leads)
• 3-5 years of total technology experience (for Seniors)
• 1-3 years of total technology experience (for Sr. Specialists)
• 1-3 years of application and platform architecture experience
• 1-3 years of Advanced Splunk architecture and troubleshooting experience Application and Platform Architecture; Software Development Lifecycle
• Intermediate to Advanced Splunk architecture and know-how
• Splunk dashboard development
• Technical monitoring; Connectivity troubleshooting
• Source Governance
• UNIX shell scripting, distributed and extended source monitoring
• Solutioning and platform architecture and design
• Project management skillset
• General information security knowledge (CISSP, Security First Bronze, Silver and/or Gold)
• Basic Cloud security knowledge for Azure and AWS
• Analytical Thinking
• Business Assessment
• Expertise Core Application Systems
• BS of Computer Science and/or Information Systems
