As a Lead Cybersecurity Architect at JPMorgan Chase within the Cybersecurity Solutions team, you will play a pivotal role in developing top-notch cybersecurity solutions for a range of software applications leveraging cutting-edge cloud technologies. Your primary responsibilities will include devising critical cybersecurity architecture solutions, identifying and communicating risks, proposing mitigation strategies, and delivering solutions across diverse technical domains within various business functions to support project objectives.

Job responsibilities

  • Engages technical teams and business stakeholders to discuss and propose technical approaches to meet current and future cybersecurity needs
  • Defines the technical target state of their cybersecurity product and drives achievement of the strategy
  • Identifies opportunities to eliminate or automate remediation of recurring issues to improve overall cybersecurity of software applications and systems
  • Leads evaluation sessions with external vendors, startups, and internal teams to drive continuous improvement and assess cybersecurity design and technical credentials for use in existing systems and architecture
  • Leads communities of practice to drive awareness and use of new and leading-edge cybersecurity technologies
  • Adds to team culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skill

  • Formal training or certification on cybersecurity architecture concepts and 5+ years applied experience
  • Experience in cybersecurity solutions architecting, controls management, and threat modeling in large-scale or startup roles.
  • Hands-on experience in delivering enterprise-level cybersecurity solutions and controls.
  • Experience in conducting code reviews with Architects and Software Engineers using Java, Python, or C.
  • Proficiency in automation, continuous delivery methods, and the Software Development Lifecycle.
  • Understanding of agile methodologies, including continuous integration and delivery, application resiliency, and security.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in software applications and technical processes within public cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP), as well as Mobile, Tokenization, and Data protection in payments, travel, or rewards sectors.

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Certifications such as Certified Information Security System Professional (CISSP), Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP), Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), CompTIA Security+, or ISACA Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) are preferred.
  • Familiar with IBM Infrastructure, particularly platforms like Mainframe, IBMi, and AIX.
  • Ability to evaluate current and emerging technologies to recommend the best solutions for future state architecture
