Work Schedule: 3 days onsite at office /2 days’ work fromhome - (Must be able to work in the office 3 days a week, full remote is not anoption)
Internal Control Specialist responsibilities:

  • Controls design and management across the region/SOX compliance
  • US GAAP accounting compliance knowledge
  • Compliance over HON Enterprise Controllership policies and procedures – NSE’s, Account Recs, design/coordination and completion of Balance Sheet Reviews
  • Help coordinate and complete internal/external audit procedures
  • Oversee remediation of audit/CAP (Corrective Action Plans) observations & ensure strong internal controls environment
  • Support Mergers & Acquisitions due diligence, purchase accounting and integration planning
  • Collaboration with tax and treasury on key priorities
  • Help ensure deployment of the contemporary finance operating model across entities in the region
  • Special projects as determined by the Regional Finance Leader

Qualifications:

  • Experience within a similar role within accounting and or audit
  • Degree in finance or economics
  • Good communication skills both written and verbal
  • Fluency (both oral and written) in English
  • US-GAAP or IFRS Accounting knowledge required
  • Excellent proficiency in Standard Office Software, experience with standard ERP’s is a plus
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent time management, organization and prioritization skills
  • Initiative, positive attitude, self-starter, “getting-things-done” and “hands-on” attitude.
  • Critical thinking skills with good attention to detail
  • Project management skills would be an advantage
  • Ongoing or completed ACCA is a plus
