Group Product Manager - Flights - Offer Platform
Role Overview:
The Group Product Manager will play a pivotal role in evolving the value proposition of the Flights product Booking.com, overseeing the teams dedicated to the integration & management of high quality & relevant flights content as well as a set of scalable & flexible offer related services & infrastructure (e.g., cache) that support Booking.com to continue its Growth, particularly in the Direct Channel. Teams to be managed:
The Supply Platform team integrates, normalizes & aggregates content & develops a multi-source platform.
Offer Cache Services team implements a set of technological solutions (e.g., cache infrastructure, intelligent services) that enable for, both, technological & economical scalability anchored to value-based performance requirements that support simple or complex, single or simultaneous search queries, as well as related decision support services.
The Offer & Content Management Services team exposes a set of rich & flexible offer search, upsell & revalidation services that power the Flights Vertical’s point of sale applications as well as its distribution channels (e.g., demand partners, Market Place, other verticals). In addition, it provides tools for the management of high quality & relevant content from one or more data suppliers.
Who you are or what you possess:
Strong record of delivering meaningful results
Strong flights domain & technical awareness, can contribute to technical discussions, solution design & future state architecture sessions due to its knowledge around the ecosystem of the airline industry domain (e.g., airline systems, ATPCo, NDC, aggregators & distribution systems, IATA, SITA), as well as familiarity with related data (e.g., shopping, booking, ticketing) & technologies (e.g., caching infrastructure, microservices).
Strong leadership and team management skills.
Strong communication skills, can effectively communicate with stakeholders in different roles and levels
Good financial awareness, can clearly connect & justify the impact of the product capabilities/investments on the customers and the business short & long term ROI.
Good organizational and project management skills, can manage multiple projects effectively themselves and through others.
Data-driven, sets clear KPIs and success metrics. Knowledgeable about leveraging customer research, quantitative data & experimentation to find the best product-market fitFamiliar with experimentation.
Product Breadth, familiar with complex product building from 0-1, and not a stranger to optimisation.
Happy to work with globally distributed teams.
Must be ok to travel from time to time.
Role Qualifications and Requirements:
Your experience:
5+ years of domain experience in the Flights and/or Travel industry.
Experience building products.
2+ years experience managing and leading product managers
Strong communication skills, can effectively communicate with stakeholders in different roles and levels, clearly communicate strategic vision and big picture but also specific details. Great written and presentation skills.
Strong organizational and project management skills, can manage multiple projects effectively themselves and through others. Experienced with agile methodologies.
Experienced in the different cycles of product management: build from scratch, scale and optimize.
Solution oriented and outcome driven.
Able to understand and formulate meaningful business metrics.
