Here's what you'll need
  • Broad understanding of UK archaeology and heritage including knowledge of key archaeological and built heritage legislation (UK planning framework)
  • Demonstrable experience of field archaeological and/or built heritage skills including an understanding of the role of an ACoW - Demonstrable experience of report writing, with use of the Microsoft suite of programs, GIS applications and familiarity with Sharepoint, Projectwise applications;
  • Ability and willingness to travel across the UK for the purpose of site and archive/record office visits; this may require periods away from home
  • Track record of delivering projects on time and within agreed budgets;
  • Knowledge of DMRB and/or GRIP Cultural Heritage requirements.
  • Experience of consultation and negotiation with relevant stakeholders e.g . Local Government Archaeological/Heritage officers
  • Membership of (or working towards) either the Institute for Archaeologists (ACIfA level) or Institute for Historic Building Conservation
