Key Responsibilities

  • With guidance from manager, research tax laws, rules and regulations to develop preliminary answers to technical questions or identify additional data and facts needed to reach a conclusion.
  • Manage projects by developing and updating timelines and keeping stakeholders informed of requirements, progress and changes.
  • Projects as assigned by regional Tax Manager
  • Support M&A and divestiture projects in the regions as directed by tax manager
  • Assist in the preparation of response(s) to external audit request from various governmental agencies for tax return documentation and support. This includes, reviewing, assembling and organizing historical tax return documentation and support.
  • Obtain and share information and data across cross-functional, matrixed organization.
  • ERP Systems - extract data to support analysis/evaluation of the impacts of business operations changes on income tax expense.
  • ERP Systems - support systems changes to implement income tax planning and enable availability of data required for tax planning.
  • Wide range of functions within the tax department, such as: Analyze and calculate book-tax differences for corporate income tax return and tax provision, work with external resource as necessary; Prepare indirect tax returns; Prepare quarterly tax provisions and annual tax package; Calculate estimated tax payment; Analyze and calculate for expense allocations between functions/entities; Assisting and support in the compliance of various government reports; Assist in preparation of transfer pricing documentation, e.g., calculate intercompany commission.

While responsibilities include a wide range of tax department functions, this role will primarily support tax planning.
