Provide engineering technical leadership and global project management to the LCS Material Productivity team. Responsibilities include driving global projects at both internal and external repair and Harvest centers as well as providing technical, documentation, quality, and EHS support (virtual & live) as required at the various global sites.


Roles and Responsibilities

  • Manage all aspects of large projects through the 5 major project management steps: initiating, planning (scoping), executing, monitoring, and controlling and closing.

  • Define the project scope: Part #s, Repair & Harvest processes, etc., and high-level strategy

  • Determine potential quality and compliance gaps with existing processes, and gaps that will be created with the transfer. Develop and implement corrective actions.

  • Work with sub-teams, segments & functions to develop: Validation/Verification (V&V) strategies for FDA regulated processes, import/export strategies, inventory strategies, etc.

  • Obtain buy-in from the team members, segments, and functional leaders to support the project. Communicate plan.

  • Identify risks and take appropriate actions to mitigate risks. Communicate throughout the project lifecycle: Status, changes, impact to other organization and projects, etc.

  • Ensure no fulfillment gaps during the project, quality and compliance are improved, project is within budget and timelines are met.

  • Execute and lead assigned Repair, Harvest and Productivity projects as assigned.

  • Generate and analyze various data sets needed to ensure successful project selection & execution. (ie. quality assessments as well as business case development, etc.)

  • Develop, monitor, and communicate relevant KPI’s

  • Create and deliver Global Training and Technical support

Required Qualifications

  • B.S. Degree in Engineering with 5 plus years of relevant experience.

  • Significant proven, progressive leadership in service or supply chain.

  • Significant experience leading large, cross functional projects in service or supply chain

  • Demonstrated project management skills including project initiation, scoping, resourcing, scheduling, budgeting, risk management and communication

  • Project management experience in global environments

Desired Characteristics

  • M.S. Degree in Engineering or Business

  • OMLP or other Leadership Program graduate

  • Proven leadership skills including coaching, mentoring and driving change

  • Project management certification, such as PMP. Understanding of Engineering Product Data Management system, Bills of Materials (BOMs), Engineering Change Requests, etc.

  • Solid understanding of FDA or equivalent requirements in a service or manufacturing environment

  • Experience in the Healthcare industry

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to interface and influence at all levels in the organization

  • Demonstrated ability to excel in a global matrix organization

  • Demonstrated ability to identify & implement best practices

  • Demonstrated ability to perform with high levels of ambiguity
