Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Statistics, Econometrics, Computer Science, Electrical or Computer Engineering, or related field AND 4+ years related experience (e.g., statistics predictive analytics, research)
    • OR Master's Degree in Statistics, Econometrics, Computer Science, Electrical or Computer Engineering, or related field AND 3+ years related experience (e.g., statistics, predictive analytics, research)
    • OR Doctorate in Statistics, Econometrics, Computer Science, Electrical or Computer Engineering, or related field AND 1+ year(s) related experience (e.g., statistics, predictive analytics, research)
    • OR equivalent experience.
  • 4+ years of professional experience in ML including designing, developing, testing, and shipping software in a full software development lifecycle.
  • Proficiency in Large Language Models (LLMs), including experience with training, fine-tuning, and deploying LLMs for various applications.
  • Solid problem-solving skills and the ability to design approaches to solve significant business problems across groups and across disciplines.

Other Requirements:


Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:

  • Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with state-of-the-art LLM architectures and techniques, such as transformer models, attention mechanisms, and transfer learning.
  • Experience with statistical modeling and deep learning especially with frameworks such as PyTorch, Huggingface Transformers, Diffusers.
  • Expertise in one or more subareas (e.g., Object Recognition, Text Classification) and a broad understanding of research areas.
  • Fluency in Python, C# and Typescript.

  • Be a leader in the identification and evaluation of emerging AI Technologies, tools and methodologies. Champion their strategic application to enhance product performance, quality, scalability, and long-term business impact.
  • Partner with researchers and product development teams to align cutting-edge research with product roadmaps. Ensure technologies translate into practical, scalable solutions that meet evolving business objectives.
  • Bring new research-backed solutions and approaches into production by applying long-term research efforts to solve product needs.
  • Provide deep technical expertise across design, analytics/modeling, dataset development, code reviews, development, quality assurance, and observability. Set standards and mentor teams in delivering robust, high-quality solutions.
  • Help drive the team's strategic vision and align it with the overall company objectives.
