technical support, safety training, and site safety oversight. The Construction Site Coordinator is responsible for the enforcement of our Health and Safety Plans and for providing safety oversight and support to large-scale construction and remediation projects.

Job Responsibilities

  • Provide health and safety oversight on a large-scale environmental remediation and construction project.
  • Ensure the maximum safety performance and awareness of everyone associated with the project (laborers, contractors, vendors, etc.) by following and enforcing our Health and Safety Plans.
  • Assisting accident and incident investigations
  • Work collaboratively with senior team members and client safety personnel to recognize and correct unsafe behavior and conditions on-site.
  • Implement Contractor Safety Program by reviewing our client’s Activity Hazard Analysis and Daily Pre-task Plans, conducting project safety inspections, and delivering contractor safety orientations.
  • Assist in Jacobs’ management audits as well as third party audits
  • Provide onsite guidance and assistance to employees to achieve optimum health and safety performance
  • Actively support and contribute towards a positive safety culture and our Beyond Zero Program.
Here's what you'll need

The ideal candidate is a self-directed, results-oriented individual with a high level of enthusiasm, passion for the work, and the following qualifications:

  • A BS degree in EHS Studies or equivalent relative work experience
  • 5-10 years of work experience of construction and occupational health and safety
  • Current OSHA 30-Hour and Hazwoper certifications are preferred
  • Working knowledge of OSHA regulations
  • Working knowledge of health and safety hazards associated with various environmental and construction-related activities, such as working around heavy machinery; excavation and trenching; electrical and mechanical systems; tools; crane rigging/lifting; heat stress; confined spaces; elevated work; hazardous and toxic contaminants; flammable and combustible materials; demolitions; hot work; etc.
  • Must be able to pass HAZWOPER physical and be able to wear respiratory protection
  • A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
