Required Qualifications:

  • High School Qualification or equivalent AND 3+ years experience supporting electrical, mechanical, or related critical facility systems in large-scale data centers
    • OR equivalent experience
  • 1+yrs experience with training delivery.
  • Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and global stakeholders and proficient communication and organizational skills.

Background Check Requirements:

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:

  • Microsoft Cloud Background Check : This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 3+ years experience in Critical Environment infrastructures (e.g., UPS, Generator, AHU) or working in physical IT infrastructures (e.g., Servers, SANs, Networking, Capacity, DC Rack/Enclosures, structured cabling)
  • Technical College degree in Computer Science, Math, Telecommunications, Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • 6 months + of experience working with the operation of building cooling, electrical, mechanical, and life safety systems
  • 6 months + of experience with Electrical Power Monitoring Systems (EPMS), Branch Circuit Monitoring (BCM), and Building Automation Systems (BAS)
  • 3+ years of experience with project management or relevant certification/training in project management
  • Associate or bachelor's degree in applicable engineering field or mechanical or electrical trades
  • 3+ years' experience working on large scale projects.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain good understanding of day-to-day datacenter operations, including maintenance of electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety systems, ensuring alignment with infrastructure and compliance standards.
  • Support and oversee preventative and corrective maintenance efforts through the Computerized Maintenance Management System(CMMS), monitoring performance and ensuring timely and high-quality completion.
  • Serve as the campus point of contact for Critical Environment( CE) training and qualification, partnering with CE Managers, Site Trainers, and Global Learning teams to deliver and track training programs (e.g. Critical Environment Qualification Program(CEQP), Qualified Electrical Worker(QEW), Oversight).
  • Manage and audit qualification documentation, signer lists, and temporary designations to ensure accuracy and compliance with global standards.
  • Drive small-to-medium CE initiatives that improve safety, reliability, and operational performance, identifying and remediating vulnerabilities.
  • Coordinate CE compliance verifications and site audits to ensure adherence to regional and global requirements.
    Communicate progress and status of training, qualification, and compliance programs through regular reports and dashboards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders—including Operations, Safety, and Global Training—to align processes, share best practices, and promote a culture of continuous learning.
  • Support emergency response and technician escalation needs related to CE qualification or competency.
