Description
•Work with a strong team of component validation, firmware developers, and system engineers to build firmware verification infrastructure, test cases, and validate end-to-end physical layer performance•Design and develop frameworks to verify 4G/5G firmware•Work with Systems/Firmware teams to perform validation of new and existing features•Assist in the development of pre-silicon emulation systems/virtual platforms and use them for firmware design and HW verification.•Verify key protocol, signal processing, and numerical algorithms with very tight time, latency, and energy budgets.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant Engineering field
  • Expert-level programming abilities in C, C++, and Python
  • Deep understanding of computer architecture, software engineering principles, and core computer science fundamentals
  • Strong analysis and debugging capabilities to be able to root cause issues and work on solutions with firmware development
Preferred Qualifications
  • Coursework or exposure in basic digital communications and digital signal processing is highly desired
  • Good knowledge of 5G and 4G 3GPP physical layer and protocol stack procedures and configurations is a plus
  • Experience with silicon prototyping, emulation systems, and virtual platforms is a plus
Pay & Benefits
  • At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $55.64 and $83.75/hr, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.Note: Apple benefit, compensation and employee stock programs are subject to eligibility requirements and other terms of the applicable plan or program.
