Description
In the Firmware Verification role, you will work with a strong team of component validation, firmware developers, and system engineers to build firmware verification infrastructure, test cases and validate end-to-end physical layer performance. You will design and develop frameworks to verify 4G/5G firmware and work with Systems/Firmware teams to perform validation of new and existing features. You will assist in the development of pre-silicon emulation systems/virtual platforms and use them for firmware design and HW verification. You will verify key protocol, signal processing, and numerical algorithms with very tight time, latency, and energy budgets.
Minimum Qualifications
  • BS with 3 + years of relevant industry experience.
  • Expert-level programming abilities in C, C++, and Python.
  • Deep understanding of computer architecture, software engineering principles, and core computer science fundamentals.
  • Strong analysis and debugging capabilities to be able to root cause issues and work on solutions with firmware development.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master of Science degree in Electrical Engineering/Computer Science.
  • Coursework or exposure in basic digital communications and digital signal processing.
  • Good knowledge of 5G and 4G 3GPP physical layer and protocol stack procedures and configurations.
  • Experience with silicon prototyping, emulation systems, and virtual platforms.
Pay & Benefits
  • At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $135,400 and $250,600, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.Note: Apple benefit, compensation and employee stock programs are subject to eligibility requirements and other terms of the applicable plan or program.
