We are seeking a highly strategic, creative, and data-oriented Associate Director of Product Marketing to join the Venmo Marketing team. This individual will report directly into the Head of Product Marketing, Venmo. You will play a pivotal role in shaping the overall product vision, product strategy, positioning, and go-to-market approach for Venmo’s expanding portfolio of products. The ideal candidate is an experienced marketing leader who excels at collaborating cross-functionally, analyzing market trends and consumer insights, and driving product adoption and usage alongside Venmo's Commercial and Product teams. This job requires people management, with expectations of direct management of more junior team members. In this role, you will set Venmo up for success in our next era of marketing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Product Strategy & Positioning: Develop and refine the product positioning, messaging, and value propositions for Venmo’s suite ofproducts, ensuring they resonate with our target audiences anddifferentiateus in the market.

  • Go-to-Market Leadership: Lead the end-to-end go-to-market strategyfor your products, including productlaunches, feature updates, andongoingmarketing campaigns to drive awareness,consideration,adoption, and growth.

  • Market Insights & Competitive Analysis:Work with Consumer Insights to conduct market research andcompetitive analysesto inform product development and marketing strategies. Stay ahead of industry trends toidentifynew opportunities.

  • Creative Excellence: Work with your Marketing and Creative counterparts to uphold creative excellencethroughoutyour campaigns.

  • Performance Metrics & Optimization: Define key performance indicators (KPIs) and measure the success of product marketing initiatives. Use data-driven insights tooptimizecampaigns and inform future strategies. Partner withMarketing Analytics to post-mortem launches and set us up for a successful learning agenda

  • Stakeholder Management: Effectively engage senior stakeholders across the company, keeping them informed about performance and quickly escalating and unblocking any challenges.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field; MBA preferred.

  • You have 8-10years of product marketing experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role, ideally within tech, fintech, or consumer digital products.

  • track recordof successfully launching and growing digital products in a highly competitive market.

  • Strong analytical skills with a deep understanding of market research, data analysis, and customer insights.

  • Exceptional communication and storytelling skills, with the ability to translate complex product features into clear, compelling messaging.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and work effectively in a fast paced, dynamic environment.

  • People management experience, witha vested interestin setting more junior team members up for short and long-term career success.
