About the Role
Social Marketing’s mission is to empower Netflix with a competitive advantage by enhancing reach, influence, and title support on social, collaborating strategically across business functions, and shaping the brand daily for maximum impact, engagement, cultural relevance, and loyalty.
Director of Social Marketing, you’ll need to have excellent judgment to balance between what’s good for business versus what audiences want to talk about. You’ll be thinking through new ways to talk about Netflix content and larger cultural moments that shape conversation within our audience, owning the strategy for Netflix Social channels and managing a world class team.
You will build and lead the team in France responsible for all social activities, as well as establishing relationships with top social/creative agencies. These teams are expected to deliver world-class conversational campaigns across a growing slate of global and regional titles. They will also establish the creative output of many more activities from multiple corners of the business.
The remit of the role includes:
  • Create and own the Netflix France social audience strategy. Define the main areas of focus for Social Media Marketing in France, aligning within the Marketing group and other Netflix teams and the overall business goals in the French market.
  • Be a Social Media advocate & loud voice internally and externally with partners, talent and producers.
  • Enable creativity within Netflix and our partners to create broad relevance, brand love and consumer advocacy for Netflix.
  • Lead social campaigns for our titles.
  • Own the innovation & trend management, identifying new opportunities, building a strong relationship with established and new & emerging platforms.
  • As part of the France Marketing Leadership team help evolve and shape the overall Marketing strategy.
  • Manage a team of social marketing managers & own the social marketing budget.
  • Support in programming management for Netflix in France. Coordinate with agencies and internal teams to publish debuts and develop adequate always-on content.
Experience & Skills:
  • 10+ years of experience leading the development of incredibly creative and brand campaigns.
  • Experience working as part of a cross-functional team with a proven ability to reinforce collaboration.
  • An operational mindset that enables you to establish ways of working, define best practices, collaborate effectively and deliver impact.
  • A leader who understands and values the richness that diverse experiences and backgrounds bring to the business and has a track record of building inclusive teams.
  • Extensive knowledge and experience in France on Social media.
  • Experience working with Entertainment properties (movies, tv series, video games, music, etc) is important.
  • Ability to prioritize activities according to the business needs and manage multiple time-sensitive projects simultaneously without the support of a large team, working both independently and in close collaboration with a wide variety of stakeholders.
  • Ability to build strong relationships with cross-functional partners and work closely with these teams to provide seamless and strategic support to create best-in-class launches and campaigns.
  • Capacity to build creativity out of meaningful insights and being able to inspire teams to do their best work.
