We are seeking an experienced and strategic Director of Product – Market Payments to lead our payment product strategy for markets. This role requires deep expertise in card processing, bank processing, and multi-market payment infrastructures, ensuring seamless and compliant transactions across global markets. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in global payment ecosystems, regulatory landscapes, and financial technology innovations.
Your day-to-day
- Define and execute the product roadmap for specific market payments, ensuring alignment with business goals, compliance, and market needs.
- Lead the development and optimization of card payment processing, bank integrations in specific markets to enhance transaction efficiency and reliability.
- Drive innovation in cross-border payments, settlement processing, and real-time payments, optimizing cost structures and user experiences.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (engineering, compliance, operations, and finance) to deliver scalable and secure payment solutions.
- Monitor industry trends, regulatory updates, and competitive dynamics to inform product decisions.
- Partner with engineering teams to enhance payment system reliability, latency reduction, and security measures.
- Define and track key performance metrics (KPIs) related to payment success rates, cost optimization, and customer satisfaction.
What you need to bring- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Finance, Computer Science, or a related field. MBA is a plus.
- Experience: 12+ years of experience in payments, fintech, or financial services, with at least 5 years in a product leadership role.
- Expertise in Payments (cards/ bank / XB payments etc)
- Global Market Experience: Proven track record of launching and scaling payment products across multiple markets, working with local regulators and financial institutions.
- Analytical & Data-Driven: Experience in using payment data, analytics, and fraud monitoring tools to drive decision-making and optimize performance.
- Technical Acumen: Ability to work closely with engineering teams to develop APIs, integrate payment gateways, and ensure high system availability.
- Leadership & Communication: Strong stakeholder management, executive presence, and the ability to drive alignment across diverse teams.
