Required Qualifications:

  • Relevant technical experience
    • OR formal training in a technical trade (e.g., machinist, electrician) AND technical experience in a similar industry
    • OR Associate's degree in Engineering or a related field

Other Requirements:

  • Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:
    • Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Responsibilities
  • Receiving guidance from an engineer, lab manager, or other technicians to determine which test tasks to perform, and achieving the agreed levels of operational throughput per shift.
  • Performing the test processes to the defined specs. with guidance from an engineer, lab manager, or other technicians.
  • Assisting in validating that manufacturing equipment is operating within expected parameters with guidance from an engineer, lab manager, or other technicians.
  • Performing manufacturing quality inspections to document process outcomes with guidance from an engineer, lab manager, or other technicians.
  • Confirming optical fiber geometries by taking images and comparing readings against established test cases with guidance from an engineer, lab manager, or other technicians.
  • Recording manufacturing data and assisting with basic analyses to identify bugs, defects, or failure rates with guidance from an engineer, lab manager, or other technicians.
  • Documenting daily progress and recording manufacturing throughput with links to spreadsheets, photos, and/or other supporting documents with guidance from an engineer, lab manager, or other technicians.
