in theSilver Springs, MDarea to manageIn this role you’ll manage all aspects of project design, capital budgeting, contracting, negotiating, bidding, construction managers, safety and coordinating of IT and medical equipment on projects. You’ll work closely with leadership to maintain efficient and effective operations and be an integral part of the project management team efforts to provide leadership gained from your significant successes in the industry.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate operational, technical and/or clerical support services that enhance or improve coordination, preparation & flow of the department process and core work.
- Utilize multiple system applications for data collection & management while incorporating basic knowledge of TH policies, practices & processes to ensure quality, confidentiality & safety are prioritized.
- Develop budget cost estimates utilizing corporate benchmarks and support from outside consultants.
- Facilitating the issuance, monitoring, and performance of consultants to maintain schedule and budget.
- Define and implement strategy to maintain budget and schedule commitments.
- Responsible for tracking the project budget, ensuring project costs are within budget, taking appropriate action and involving appropriate decision makers to maintain and manage the project within the budget.
- Facilitate the design team, end users, leadership and authorities having jurisdiction to complete design, permitting, construction, equipment installation, activation, and close-out.
- Coordinate with other project coordinators/managers to facilitate integration of all projects (i.e., Capital Construction, Information Services, Clinical Engineering, etc.) within Regional operations.
- Streamline decision-making process, critical information available so timely informed decisions can be made. Manage consultants so that critical information required for these decisions is available.
- Facilitate the finalization list for clinical equipment, furniture, fixtures, and non-clinical equipment, artwork, signage, etc. that will be utilized by the System Office Sourcing and Regional / Ministry Procurement teams
- Facilitate the movement of patients and equipment between units when new and renovated floors are opened.
- Collaborate on performance improvement activities as indicated by outcomes in program efficiency & patient experience.
- Manage projects to successful completion, meeting deliverable quality, schedule commitments, cost budgets, and performance targets.
- Bachelor of Architecture, Engineering, or Construction Management
- Minimum 8 years’ experience in construction project management
- Drafting and CAD experience
- Experience with capital project management software (ProCore, Projecto, eBuilder, etc.)
- Strong construction contract knowledge and ability to review, negotiate and manage risk
- Understanding of financial and operational management and analysis of technical estimating and budgeting tools for construction
- Ability to read and interpret construction documents and specifications with strong working knowledge of ICRA and ILSM standards, building codes, NFPA, FGI Guidelines and OHSA requirements
- Demonstrates ability to successfully manage projects, to deliver, on-time and within budget, the quality and scope of the parameters set forth in programming
- Excellent leadership, analytical, organizational, planning, delegation, coaching, communication (verbal, written and interpersonal
- MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects throughout Service Area, covering multiple states including but not limited to Massachusetts, Connecticut, New York, Pennsylvania, Delaware and Maryland
Ideally, you’ll also have
- PMP Certification, ASHE CertifiedHealthcare Contractor,
- Ability to manage large scale or multiple projects across Service Areas supporting client throughout the US
- Experience overseeing a team/multiple project managers covering a wide range of projects
