Key responsibilities
- Participate in all aspects of the SDLC (analysis, design, coding testing & implementation).
- Work with onshore and offshore team members from IT, Ops & Business.
- Analyze business requirements; write functional and minor development specifications.
- Integration of user-facing elements developed by front-end developers with server-side logic
- Writing reusable, testable, and efficient code
- Must have considerable experience developing applications under an onshore-offshore model.
- Design and implementation of low-latency, high-availability, and performant applications
- Implementation of security and data protection
- Integration of data storage solutions {{may include databases, key-value stores, blob stores, etc.}}
- Sets an example for team members in the following manner: hard work, a focus on client delivery, preparedness, organization, a positive attitude, and respect for others
Mandatory:
- Bachelor’s in engineering or equivalent and 5 – 7 years of application development experience on an HP Non-Stop/Tandem system.
- Extensive experience in HPNS COBOL, HPNS COBOL85, HPNS Native COBOL, HPNS SQL/MP, INSPECT, TAL calls.
- Experience in Pathway servers and configuration, HPNS Guardian environment, TACL, FUP, SQLCI.
- Experience working with audited and non-audited ENSCRIBE files.
- Must be comfortable working in a high-pressure, deadline-oriented environment.
- Experience working in integration projects.
- Understanding accessibility and security compliance
- Strong analytical skills, ability to interpret business requirements and produce functional and technical design documents
- Good time management skills – ability to prioritize and multi-task, handling multiple efforts at once
- Powerful desire to understand and learn domain.
Secondary Skills / Desired skills
- Cloud certification in AWS or Azure is preferable.
- Have experience in the financial services/banking industry specifically in the Wealth Management domain.
- Experience with Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment
- Experience in projects managed in accordance with AGILE (SCRUM) methodology
- Knowledge on the CMMI framework
- Knowledge on writing Unit test cases and carrying out Unit testing using Junit
