What You’ll Do
  • Develop expertise in manufacturing processes, analyzecritical data, and understand equipment capabilities. Modify line layouts usingLean Manufacturing best practices to optimize material flow, waste reduction,and ergonomics. Participate in the transition of products from concept to massmanufacturing
  • Optimize production equipment to maximize safety andOverall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), driving world-class quality levels. Leadcontinuous improvement projects to increase yield, capacity, and capability
  • Design new tooling, fixtures, assembly aids, andequipment to enhance processes and yield. Conceptualize high-volume productionequipment, prioritizing safety, cost, capacity, volumetric efficiency, anddelivery time
  • Diagnose and resolve issues in the part manufacturingprocess, utilizing structured problem-solving techniques
  • Create documentation such as BOMs, schematics,maintenance guides, and operator manuals
  • Utilize CAD modeling and FEA structural analysis for newtooling/equipment, defining specifications and requirements
  • Identify automation opportunities and collaborate withAutomation/Control Engineers for design and implementation
  • Provide DFM (design for manufacturability) input todesign team for process and yield improvements
  • Possess working experience with tools such as Conveyors& Cranes, Atlas Copco Fastening tools, Hipot Testers, CTS Leak Testers,etc.
  • Support 24/7 production operations as needed
What You’ll Bring
  • Degree in Engineering, or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a manufacturingenvironment, including exposure to safety best practices
  • Experience with Robot program troubleshooting. Workingexperience with data visualization tools such as SQL and Python
  • Experience specifying mechanical and electromechanicalhardware
  • Understanding of automation control systems PLC/HMI/SCADA(preferrably Siemens with TIA portal and Ignition) and interfaces with softwareand factory databases. Beckhoff also desired but not required.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience with 3D CAD design andanalysis; SolidWorks required, CATIA a plus, experience with electrical designand EPLAN
  • Strong mechanical design and analysis skills, includingpneumatics, sensors, motors, pumps, and actuators
  • Experience sourcing and overseeing installation of largeequipment projects
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment withbroad scope, displaying self-starting and proactive qualities. Excellentwritten and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work independentlyor with minimal direction
