You'll be required to apply your depth of knowledge and expertise to all aspects of the software development lifecycle, as well as partner continuously with your many stakeholders on a daily basis to stay focused on common goals.
Job Responsibilities:
- Drive, support and deliver on a strategy to build resilient, secure and high performing platforms in the public cloud
- Improve reliability, quality, and cost of our public cloud platform
- Measure and optimize system performance, with an eye toward pushing our capabilities forward, getting ahead of customer needs, and innovating to continually improve
- Provide primary infrastructure operational, optimization and engineering support for the public cloud platform
- Collaborate with a cross-functional team to develop real-world solutions and positive user experiences at every interaction
- Coordinate and manage infrastructure upgrades, change management, and release management process across the platform
- Drive Cost management through the effective design and optimization of public cloud platforms and technologies
Required qualifications, capabilities and skills
- Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience
- Demonstrated experience working with a major public cloud provider - AWS
- Working knowledge of infrastructure components (e.g. routers, load balancers, cloud products, container systems, compute, storage, and networking)
- Experience defining non-functional standards and blueprints related to supportability – logging, alerting, monitoring, resiliency patterns, etc.
- Able to implement highly available, resilient architectures and ensure the infrastructure is kept evergreen.
- Ability to partner with and influence architecture teams in defining non-functional application supportability standards
- Proven leadership skills with drive for continuous improvement
- Exceptional interpersonal, relationship and communication skill
