GDS SaT – TSE IT – Transaction Tech and Tech Strategy - Manager / Associate Manager

As an experienced Consultant or a Manager, you will be managing the development, evaluation and end-to-end execution of transaction strategy for Private Equities, Venture Capitals, and large Conglomerates. You will be advising clients on technology elements of mergers, divestiture, and acquisitions strategy to accelerate their growth.

In this role, you will be delivering Technology Due Diligence, Value Creation through Technology, and Technology Strategy for EY Parthenon’s clients; Advising the clients on navigating transaction risk and increase value, from deal inception, to execution, and then driving toward longer-term transformation.

You should have good executive presence and stakeholder management skills and deep expertise in some of the Technology Strategy & Advisory solutions.

Prior experience in merger & acquisitions such Due Diligence, Standalone Costing, TSA Exit are good to have. Experience Technology Strategy, Technology Transformation and Value Creation through Technology will be advantage.

Deep experience across multiple technology cost areas such as Technology Cost optimization, Technology business management, IT Budget forecasting, IT Chargeback, Cloud Economics, Cloud Financial Management, IT Value realization, IT Org sizing, Preferred experience in IT strategy + other TSA offerings (Cloud, Data, Enterprise Architecture).

Must have

  • Experience of developing IT Strategy, integrate the project and program strategies with IT Strategy and alignment with business strategy and management priorities
  • Good exposure of Financial concepts with regards IT cost levers and its impact in client’s P&L in consulting or advisory roles
  • Exhibited leadership in projects involving IT transformations through improving and upgrading enterprise services, hardware and software, evaluation of IT functions, business development strategies and suggesting improvements
  • Has worked on projects involving designing and implementing IT organizational structure, business processes and strategies, data and information flow, and the underlying supporting systems and their integration
  • Capability to work across IT domains such as infra, applications, data and security, with good knowledge on basic architecture elements on these domains, ensuring compliance
  • Experience in developing cost models for sizing and pricing the IT architectural solutions, high-level implementation plans and implementation pre-requisites
  • Lead work-streams comprising members of the client and colleagues from our transactions and advisory practices
  • Lead meetings with senior client stakeholders to advise, shape and drive the strategy and planning for IT value creation projects, IT strategy and transformations
  • Be flexible to support for broader IT & Operational transaction work
  • Willingness to undertake international travel as per business requirement
  • Technical certifications like AWS Certified Solution Architect, Salesforce Certified Technical Architect, The Open Group TOGAF 9 Certification, or other equivalent
  • Strong writing skills and experience of producing high quality reports, papers, presentations and thought leadership
  • Experience of communicating with global clients, key stakeholders in IT

Good to have

  • Experience of working on M&A projects, different type of engagements, including pre-deal (IT due diligence, carve-out planning), post-deal (e.g. integration planning, tracking) and restructuring (e.g. rapid cost reduction)
  • IT projects life-cycle
  • IT contracts and vendor management

To qualify for the role, you must have

  • 10+ years of prior experience in enterprise architect role with an IT Technology / Consulting organization or IT department of a large organization. Overall industry experience of 9-10 years.
  • MBA / PGDM (part time / full time) with Bachelors in Engineering from a reputed institute with a strong technology and consulting background
  • Lead large IT project execution experience with in-depth knowledge of IT project life cycles
