Your key responsibilities

As a Leader in Transaction Strategy and Execution – IT (ERP), you will be a vital member of the team supporting and executing operational focused projects. You'll assist with the execution of projects across all sectors, supporting our client service team in developing and executing strategies for transactions. Part of your role will also involve developing experience across a range of different type of engagements, including pre-deal (e.g. operational and carve-out planning) and post-deal (e.g. integration planning, tracking). Having a commercial mind-set is key to this consulting-based role. Key responsibilities involve:

  • Define the approach and execute the ERP carve-out during divestitures or integration (M&A)
  • Define the optimal future ERP strategy and roadmap for Carve-outs as well as Integrations
  • Identify opportunities for application rationalization, improve efficiency and transform the business process as part of M&A integration or carve-out
  • Support TSE team practice Offices to sell, manage and deliver IT Transaction Services engagements including IT Due Diligence, IT Post Merger Integration, IT Carve-outs/ Separation, etc.
  • This would include:
    • ERP Project Management / PMO Support
    • IT Due diligence and red flag reports
    • IT and ERP Costing
    • IT TSA Costing and Analysis, ERP TSA drafting and analysis
    • ERP Contracts Evaluation and Analysis
    • IT Operating Model Development
  • Assist in identifying risks and issues related to integration planning, timelines and functional areas.
  • Demonstrate strong knowledge in the ERP functional areas.
  • Experience on strategic consulting engagements developing detailed, compelling, and analytical PowerPoint/Word/Excel/Visio deliverables to convey complex thoughts and ideas


Skills and attributes for success

  • Experience in transactions, including pre-deal (ERP Due Diligence) and/or or Post deal ERP post-merger integration, separation/carve-out assignments with exposure to managing areas such as IT Applications, Infrastructure, ERP TSA, ERP Costs, etc.
  • Large ERP project execution experience with in-depth knowledge of IT project life cycles
  • Experience in defining ERP Vision, Strategy, Roadmap on modern Cloud ERPs for enterprise Customers
  • Proven success in ERP projects across multiple ERP functional domains such as finance, controlling, supply chain, reporting, and planning etc.
  • Experience in ERP separation scenarios planning and ERP cost assessment
  • Detailed knowledge of the technical content of corporate strategies, product / service strategies, business model development, make or buy analyses, business process optimization, enterprise architecture management (EAM), IT governance and IT architecture
  • Program and project management expertise with demonstrable experience in managing and being responsible for the delivery of successful ERP programs
  • Strong writing skills and experience of producing high calibre reports, papers, presentations and thought leadership
  • Understanding of organizational processes such as Procure to Pay, Order to Cash and Record to Report
  • Experience in business development, from opportunity identification to developing new business with external clients


To qualify for the role, you must have

  • 12-15 years of prior experience with an IT Technology /Consulting organization or IT department of a large organization
  • B Tech / M. Tech. / MBA / PGDM (part time / full time) with B. Tech. from a reputed institute with a technology background.
  • Ability to provide point of views and leading ERP product selection exercises / assessments / discovery to recommend suitable cloud ERP Solution


Ideally, you’ll also have

  • Project management skills
  • Strong communication and presentation skills


Tools & Technologies

  • Large IT project execution experience with in-depth knowledge of IT project life cycles.
  • Proven knowledge and successful delivery experience in ERP projects.
  • Detailed knowledge of the technical content of corporate strategies, product / service strategies, business model development, make or buy analyses, business process optimization, solution architecture, enterprise architecture and IT governance.
  • Program and project management expertise with demonstrable experience in managing and being responsible for the delivery of successful IT programs.
  • Strong writing skills and experience of producing high calibre reports, papers, presentations and thought leadership
  • Any of the IT Certifications such as PMP/Prince 2, CBAP, ITIL, TOGAF, CCNA / CCNP, SAP, R/3, S/4, HANA, Oracle EBS, Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA), Process Mining etc.
